About Dr. Scott Palmer
Scott Palmer, M.D., is a board-certified physician in Internal Medicine and is a graduate of the University of Michigan and Rush Medical College. Dr. Palmer did his internship, residency and chief residency at Presbyterian St. Luke’s Hospital in Chicago, Illinois (now Rush University Medical Center), receiving the resident of the year award all three years. Thereafter, he practiced private internal medicine for twenty-one years at Rush before transitioning to personalized medical care in 2010. Over this time Dr. Palmer has been selected as a “Top Doctors: Chicago Metro Area” by Castle Connolly Medical Ltd., “Top Doctors: Greater Chicago Area” by Consumers’ Checkbook, “America’s Top Physicians” by Consumer’s Research Council of America, “Best Doctors in America” by Best Doctors, Inc., and a “Top Doctor” by U.S. News & World Report.
Dr. Palmer is a member of the American Academy of Private Physicians and has been a Medical Team Physician for both the Chicago Bulls and Chicago White Sox since 2005. In addition to chairing the Synthonics Inc. Scientific Advisory Board, Dr. Palmer is a member of Synthonics Board of Directors and medical director of Synthonics’ novel drug projects. His research interests are improving the clinical management of neurodegenerative disorders such as Parkinson’s disease, chronic epilepsy and concussion syndromes; discovering new antibiotics to treat multi-drug resistant gram negative bacteria and tuberculosis; improving the management of hypothyroid disorders; developing novel cannabinoids to treat chronic pain and anxiety, chemotherapy-induced nausea, childhood seizures and PTSD; and developing novel immunotherapeutic drugs to treat cancer.
